Ours is a small but growing language school in the centre of Umeda, Osaka, only five minutes from all the major train stations, JR Osaka Station, Hankyu Umeda Station, and Umeda on the Midosuji subway line.
At Phillip James we teach adult group classes, with a maximum of six students per class, for 90-120 minutes. We teach general English classes, as well as Business English, IELTS Preparation classes, Cambridge English Language Assessment, and English for Special Purposes, such as International Legal English, and English for Medical Practitioners.
We follow a course curriculum developed by DELTA trained staff, and offer weekly Teacher Development Training, in which we study techniques for improving language acquisition in our students, classroom management techniques, and how to build creativity into our classes using a range of alternative and authentic materials.
